A Malaysian logistics firm had a payment dispute with a Thai supplier amounting to RM 2.3 million. The contract specified AIAC arbitration, and the supplier was contesting the claim entirely.
Solution
brevelles represented the client throughout the AIAC arbitration process — from initial filing through to the final hearing. We prepared detailed submissions, coordinated witness statements, and managed document discovery across both jurisdictions.
Results
The arbitrator awarded 87% of the claimed amount in our client's favour. The award was enforceable in Thailand under the New York Convention. Total elapsed time from filing to award was approximately four months.
